Miners in Waterschei

Every first Sunday of the month, you can join the guided tour Miners in Waterschei.

During this tour, you step into the story of the former coal mine. You walk through the historic mining building and discover how thousands of miners lived and worked here. The guide brings stories about labour, migration, community and change back to life, right where they originally took place.

At the same time, you also look towards the future. The place that was once the beating heart of coal mining has grown into Thor Park: a campus where heritage, innovation and sustainable energy come together.
